• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

but the problem with that is shipping. It takes about 3-8 weeks to get a package. (month to two months. i have a package that is about to start month 2 i've been waiting on) then about the same amount of time to get back. that's about 4 months to get here. and mail is going to be further and further apart right now due to one of the resupply ships of the navy's just broke down and went to dry dock. so by then the deployment will almost be over.

Any chance that you'll be near land soon for a bit of a break and can find a coffee shop or something to connect your laptop to long enough to register it?

Yea I have no other ideas maybe go back to a standard MP3 player it they still even make those as far as I know there's no getting past that registration.

they still make them all right. i refuse to buy apple products, all my friends had issues with either itunes or apple that either got their **** lost (music mostly) or wouldnt function for weeks.

I still have my ipod touch that I use sometimes but I'd rather use my phone now which is a Galaxy and I can't transfer my music to be able to use on here. My boyfriend and I have tried everything and yeah... won't work. Now I use slacker on my phone.

Definitely go to a standard MP3 type player. That's what I use, and I love it. I don't need all the bells and whistles of an iPod type device - I just need something I can throw my music on and hit play when I'm running or working out. Never been a fan of Apple (I'm a software developer, so they're stuff is pretty useless to me...lol).

While I hate Apple, I did get an ipod for working out. Now it sits in the car as storage for music and I also plug in a usb drive. Use the phone for wireless working out

Can't believe apple would do quite that.. pretty sure they would pretty understanding if you explain you're on a mother ****ing boat in the military.. but i'll check into it today too. Shouldn't need to register your device. If i remember, they gave me an opinion to register it or not. You don't need to register a product. They want you to for their info and for the product protection.

I was reading and either the articles are old or they changed something but Its saying the rego is optional and you don't need internet.

Got Hughesnet canceled, and got a guy installing Exede in 30min. Guy at Hughes offered me the whole deal, to stay with them for the same price with upgraded service. But I'm not going to trust them anymore based upon my experiences.

Has anyone ever moved from the USA into Canada, or vice versa? We've both looked it up, but I just thought I'd ask to see if anyone can offer advice on the topic.

well, schmidty. idid explain to them I'm in the middle of a god forsaken sea and they said, and i quote "We're Sorry. There is no way to register the iPod for use without internet"

you can count on there being paper work. Canada is rather strict who they let in even for a visit. if you got a dwi, drug or any type of battery charge they send you back.
