They recovered 2 cars yesterday...the 1 millionth vette and the 1984 PPG Pace car (or what's left of it)

Those pictures make me cry...I've wanted a Corvette since I was 4...I know there's alot of Corvette hate out there, but they've always been one of my favorite cars, and always will be. I've been to the museum before, and LOVED it. Didn't want to leave...lol

Honestly, the majority of my dislike for these vehicles is the same reason I dislike Hondas or Mustangs. It's the stereotypical owners..."Well, I have ______." Good for you guy. Or "If it's not a Vette, I don't care..." Yeah, those guys piss me off. The car is probably still hands down one of the best bang for the buck "sports cars" built. I just can't get past the owners. Or the new Vettes...let's mash a Vette and a Camaro together...SMH
 
New one are ugly for sure......You wouldn't know my dad owns a Corvette unless you were in his garage. He doesn't talk about it or hardly drive it. Sits in the 3rd stall covered up most of the year. He's not your typical Corvette owner. Grew up poor and worked for what they have so he appreciates it more.

I can appreciate that. My former boss bought one brand new cash. Saved up his whole life to buy it. I hoped he would be the same as your dad...but all he ever talked about was his Vette or how superior it was to EVERYTHING else...until I told him I'd race him with a J-spec'ed STI swapped Imprezza RS...he lost BAD. :D
 
lulz....He doesn't boast about it or even attempt to rev the engine. Just a weekend cruiser for he and my mom. He is talking about selling it or keeping it and buying and older 50's or 60's to restore. He keeps saying that it will be mine when he is gone, but I plan to have one before that time comes.
 


I want a '74 (year I was born), '91 ZR1, and a C5 or C6 triple black convertible.

Sven - yeah, I agree with you on most owners. Obnoxious...not the cars fault, though...lol
