Post Whoring - 5.5.1 - We have a turd in the punch bowl

Gotdamn rain. We got a few random light sprinkles yesterday, but I woke up to downpours this morning. I walked outside to check out the basement to make sure it wasn't taking on water and it was as dry as it normally is. Walked back out less than 2 hours later and there is a few inches of water in it. I have a sump pump down there that the landlord installed last summer, but only have one outlet and it doesn't always make a good connection. Finally got it connected good and it pumped the water out but water is still constantly coming up through the floor and probably the walls too.

I think some of it is backfeeding through the drain that runs out to the creek too. Once the water goes back down I am going to have to try to figure out a way to prevent the back flow in the future.
