Had to read that twice since I just watched Blazing Saddles first time lol. Rigor, as in mortis. Anyway, maybe a cat is needing a winter home and has selected you to bring gifts to. Either that or you have a prime spot for a cat to hunt. You'll never see the cat while running a leaf blower though!

I've weed wacked a couple of voles and snakes before... they didn't move fast after getting their lashings.

Okay resident HVAC gurus I have a question. When you have to cap off the end of a duct is it standard practice to literally just roll the ducting up to cap (like a sardine can lid) it off then run screws through it?

Because someone did that to our house, which made the seams on the side of the ductwork separate which let mice in. Which allowed one to hit a trap drag the trap to where it split then it got stuck died and stunk up everything. Which then I had to crawl under the house, cut the insulation, unroll the vent get the mouse out go ape **** with expanding foam and then roll it back up, tape the insulation back up. Oh boy the fun...

"Standard practice" and proper procedure" are two different things... I am not a tin knocker, but I worked at a hardware store in high school, and I've been to Home Depot more than once. They make duct caps....

For a reason!
