That was my fault the valve was slightly open. I re bleed it again and topped it off and I think its good now.

Roof is going to get the same Red-Yellow-Blue scheme the sides are getting. The missing panels on the sides are getting painted red now, then the unpainted panels that are still there are getting painted blue. Freakin Yellow took 5 coats to cover. Just with what is yellow in that pic took damn near a quart.

No kidding. A lot of it went into the older wood, and yellow is a **** color for coverage anyways. The first 2 coats looked green. This is that Glidden paint that has primer built in. That's only 1 coat of green, so the darker colors won't take that much at all.

Work and this, really. We have one of those electric palm sanders and we spent the better part of 2 weeks sanding this thing then the last week painting. Just got the first coat of red done and it looks like it'll need another 2 possibly 3. Better than 5, that's for sure. I still have to figure out how I'm going to paint the underside facing the ground... You can see the unpainted braces I added yesterday, but I also staked it to the ground with 6 pieces of scrap 2x4 from the braces. They all go into the ground by about 10-12 inches, then I have a few screws holding them to the supports\ladder\A-frame on the far side. It's very solid now, that's for sure.

Hey man, long time no talk. Not sure if I missed it, but I'm not sure what you did about your gtp's engine noise.

Hey, yeah its been a while. I ended up changing the oil to a low viscosity and the noise went a away. I ran some seafoam in it too and so far it has been okay. When I changed the oil it was clean. No metal flake.

I think I had some bad lifter tick going on. I may have only fixed it temporarily, but I am prepared to throw cash at this car to fix it. This is the cleanest GTP I have ever seen for sale and I would hate to lose it.

Yeah it has to be valvetrain related, I'm surprised a low viscosity oil would help. Hope you didn't run like 0w-20 or something lol. What oil was in it? Synthetic or no?

I ran a 5w-20 oil in the car for 10 miles. Then switched back to 5w30. Fully synthetic each time. Seems to run okay now. When cold I get a bit of lifter tick, goes away quickly when its warm.

Still runs perfectly fine.
