im looking for someone selling there l67 ported tb, im not really looking to spend over 200 for a new one. if anyone is selling a used one let me know

send one to reptile or dave or someone who has done it before.

you can find a stock one with no sensors for like $30.

either that or port one yourself. its not all that bad, but be aware that you WILL break through the casing and you WILL need to fill it with quicksteel or something of that sort.

i know there is somewhere a place saying how to do one yourself, you know where it is? or do you know how much dave would do it for? one last one, still selling that ssic cause im waiting on this kid to buy my pulley and such if so i could do 450.

okay well the kid is buying the pulley and im selling a set of rims so either ssic or mps hmmmmmm.....

I can do one similar to the ZZP HVTB setup for $50...all I need is yours or one you plan on having ported and you're all set.

Thanks for the plug, Bio!

i did my own, but it looks nothing like someone who takes time and does it right. mine isnt even smooth on the inside yet.

just for kicks, i bought a spare for ~$30, and bought a box of sanding rolls and a few dremel bits like a tungsten carbide and went to town on the tb. i didnt touch the area near the plate for various reasons:th_lipssealed2:.
i also cut the top half of the tb shaft and cut the 2 bolts holding the plate and used red locktite to prevent the bolts from coming loose again:th_jester:(funny/scary story). took a few hours over the span of a few days but i leanred a few things from it.
PICS-quite a few....;)

Running a separate MAF with a ported TB seems like a good idea, since the stock MAF needs the hump to read the airflow correctly. At least this is what I hear one of their engineers have stated.

yep....im using an LQ4 MAF from the silverado lol...i sanded that area down since i took the pic

Any time you mess with the bore around the MAF you need to adequately adjust for airflow. Opening it up slows the velocity of the air, so you need to raise the gram/sec table to account for this.

they are hard to find since no one makes them anymore.

good thing i got a hold of a 2.2 a while back. that and a happy knob will be my only tuning resources.

yea ive heard people talking about the 2.2 and i cant find one anywhere, maybe ill have to take my chances with ebay. if you find one bio let me know.
