• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

ported rear deck

no because everything higher than the port's resonant frequency would still be trapped in the trunk and yes, it'd be louder than a traditional vented box.

Kicker L7's love bandpass boxes just have someone who knows how to design boxes design it cause it's easy to get port noise. I would get a professional box design from PWKdesigns. I need to get some pics of my PWK fourth order in my GP. Its sealed to the cabin so there is no trunk rattle and no wasted money on deadener besides that it looks so clean with the trim plate on the back, kinda like a GTO's trunk.

or do a box like this

That second box looks interesting. What is it tuned to? how many cu. feet is it?

Its designed for SPL only and its tuned to 45hz and has a peak at 48Hz. That box is actually one of three enclosures for a tahoe build I did awhile ago. With 6 kicker L7's and 6000 watts it hit 155 and hit a 137 in extreme drive by.

It still got beat by my old blazer with 4 DD9515's and 8 DD z3 amps strapped.

The top box is the box thats in my Grand Prix and that hit 141.5 @ 32Hz, I didn't think that was to bad for some kicker CVR's and 800 watts.
