Ported Blower

So i met this guy last night who got a whole bunch of stuff for a 98 GTP for free when he bought the car and he said that he would sell me his ported blower for $50, so my question is would there really be any point of putting it on right away if i do not have a ported LIM?

97 blowers just have a different vacuum setup, you can still use it on a different year car.

worth it? probably not since the blower is still fairly efficient down to about a 3.0 pulley. you start seeing gains there and past it.
