Poor radio signal :(

Ok so i bought a Sony xplode HU. Before replacing the stock one with the Sony i had great radio signals every where. Now i don't. BUT the HU itself works amazing when plugged into my droid via AUX cable so i know its not my wiring. I used the wiring kit and antenna kit from 3800 performance. So my question is why did the old radio get so much better of a signal but my new one wont.

Ive had similar issues with my new HU and honestly I think it could just be the radio reception isnt as great on the new HU. Idk about the xplode but I know mine isnt the top of the line model so I live with it. I bought it for the other reasons anyways

There's a thread about grounding your HU, I tried grounding mine, but didnt readlly make a differnece.

I just installed a sony xplod MEX-BT5100. today actually,

I found that the antenna adapter doesnt fit the stock wire so great, I actually put it in as tight as i could and then put black tape to hold it together. I'm getting great reception now.
also make sure you pushed the antenna wire into your new HU deep enough.
