poor headlight fit

My right headlight assembly sticks out on the side a little bit. The left headlight is flush to the fender but the right one probably sticks out a quarter of an inch. I looked around trying to find how to adjust them but I'm not quite sure. When I put the headlight assembly back in it sits perfect until I push the clip all the way down to secure it. That's when it bulges out on the side. Does anybody know how to adjust this issue? Thanks

Are you sure it's seated correctly? There are two white guide holes on the header panel, and two pins on the headlight that go in those holes to line it up. Sometimes on aftermarket headlights, those pins don't line up exactly, but they aren't far off and can be man handled into place. I've had 3 sets of headlights for my 04. One OEM and two aftermarket, and I've never had any issues with fitment.

They are oem and everything lines up until I push the clip all the way down. That's when it moves and sticks out on the outside. I'm having a guy look at it tomorrow. We'll see what he says. Hopefully it's just an easy adjustment.

This is the bad one. It sticks out a little bit.

This is the driver's side which fits fine.

It's hard to see it in pictures. I've checked all of the clips and guides and everything is lining up alright so I don't know what is wrong. Maybe the headlight itself is warped or something. I have no clue. It bugs me though because if you walk up to the car from the passenger's side it looks like I got hit in the fender. :(

Are you sure the headlight bracket isn't busted in anyway..or there is a loose bolt on it anywhere? Even if it is off just the slightest it can really make your headlight completely off.

I've checked all of the guides and they are all good from what I can see. Could the clip that holds it in place be warped and cause that? It pops out when you push the clip all the way down to bolt it back together. I don't think the fender is warped but that has crossed my mind. I still highly dooubt that its the fender. Thanks guys

It sits flush from the side. The only thing that is sticking out is shown in the picture. I tried adjusting it with the little adjustment screws on the back of the assembly but once I correct what is shown in the picture it doesn't fit when I push the metal clip down to hold the assembly in place. Are there any other ways to adjust it?

ok, i think your crazy lol i cant see any issue from the pics you posted lol
short of a small VERY small lip.. just leave it alone

alright I'll try the washers. It looks a lot worse in person believe me. I agree it looks like nothing from the pictures though.

agreed, i replaced both the front headlamps and the rear ones. The rears keep getting water in them and the fronts were so scratched after 10 years of driving, they looked frosted. :th_laugh-pointup:
