Polly dogbone bushings?

Is this just straight forward or is it more involved?

what all do i need to do?

do i need to suport the engine?

any help wanted!

easy as pie. unbolt. figure out how to get the stockers out (most difficult part) then pop the poly's in, reasseble and you're done.
 
its pretty straight forwards. you're going to have to cut out the stock bushings unless youre a magician. its best to press the poly bushings in with a vice (easiest).

you also dont have to support the motor.
 


mine came out easy. just take some wire snippers, and cut the rubber lip of the bushing on one end. do it all the way around. Then just take a screwdriver and push the bushing out the other end. those lips are the only thing keeping them in the dogbone.

then just slide the new ones in. it helps to use some grease when putting in the poly bushings. i would do it just in case they try to get squeaky
 
Where can I get theas at, and how much are they? I have a rattle somewhere and I think its from my Moter mounts It only happens when its in drive. any one know what it is?

ZZ Performance

Not sure what the difference is? I've got the offset ones from ZZP and have had'em for ~4 years, with no problems at all. You should get the offset ones if your lowered.

Offset mounts are discontinued, if you still want to rock the engine forward, then the shorter dogbones are what you are looking for

As far as the noise... it could be that, or alot of other things.
 
get intense poly mounts (they are the only ones who offer the round bushings anyway). they are a little softer compound that the ones that zzp uses.

x2. intense were the only ones i used. much softer and quieter than the zzp mounts i had.

I read on the Stacey David's Gearz website that freezing poly bushings will make them shrink up a bit and make them easier to press in. I'd be curious to see if that's the case with the square ones. I use a vice to press them in but it would be interesting to see if this made it any easier.
