Polishing Stock Tips

Hey guys so i want to polish my stock exhaust tips (pig snouts) on my 04 GTP. What should i use? Wet sand them? Thanks!
 


start with 600wet 800 grit wet then 1000 wet then 1500 wet then 2000 wet then polish it by hand or with a buffing pad on a dremel tool. that will give you as mirror finish if you sand them correctly
here is a pic of mine i only went to 800 grit i was looking for the brushed look.
 
^ thats a lot of sand paper to buy!! If i just want to get one set of the wet sand paper should i use the 600 or 800 grit?
 
It will take you forever to sand with 800, and the sandpaper will fill up quickly with exhaust carbon. Look for a multi grit pack if you don't want to buy a few.


I used to just stick a wire brush on the end of my drill and go to town.
