Polishing Car..Is this the right stuff?

I got the 2000 grit sandpaper (wetordry). But I was woundering if this is the right stuff or if i Got two products that do the same thing.

I got this to use right after sanding.
Meguiar's/7 oz. ScratchX 2.0 swirl remover (G-10307) | Pre Cleaner | AutoZone.com_

Then I got this to use after This ^^^^
Turtle Wax/18 oz. premium rubbing liquid compound (T-415) | Polish | AutoZone.com_

Then I forgot the finish polish. Will this work?

The videos I watched had swril remover compound. But the Last 2 items listed said they remove swirl marks, so is swirl remover really required?

your cars going to love you if you wet sand it all down first.

its a lot of work, and you need the right boards and such, you dont want to use your bare hand to sand with.

but how bad is it that your willing to go that far? my car was was pretty dull till i just used a porter cable and turtle wax heavy to medium liquid compound, then mequires wax with swirl remover.

haven't waxed in over 6 months and it still shines. it does get a weekly wash tho.

i would use the turtle wax compound, then the swirl remover. you want to go from heavy grit to finer and finer.

She is pretty bad. Probably almost to the point were some of the scratches wont come out even after wet sanding. So do I have the right products in order for which i Should use. How do I know which one is finer. I'm starting to think the turtle wax rubbing compound is more abrasive then the scratchX2.0. Anyway to tell for sure?

yes i'd start with the turtle wax compound, and go from there.

any scratch that you can run your finger nail over and if you can feel it, well thats not coming out.

what you may want to do is pin some color match paint into the scratches, let it dry, then wet sand that area to level out the new paint. give it a pass of new clear coat and buff it up.

alright sounds good. I wasn't aware that the first one was swirl remover lol. The bottle says nothing about swirl remover. Should I get some Rapid cut or do you think what I have is fine? Last question I promise lol.

im not up on the hi end products. but the $7 bottle of the turtle wax liquid compound is what i used, just go nice and slow with the buffer. work the area till the compound is dust, nice and dry, wipe it off. after the first section you'll be hooked.

for the wax coat i used what my brother had left over, that was mquires wax with a swirl remover in it, after the compounding there were no more swirls, at all. the wax just made it shine like mad.
