Should be on for Easter if not for sure in the summer

They are finally on!

I bought Fbody
brakes before winter hit, and between doing homework at college i decided to polish them, I figured it would be cooler than just painting them black or silver

. I started by just cleaning them with a steel brush, then hit them with sand paper, 320 grit, 600 grit, then 1000 grit, and lots of mothers aluminum polish. I only polished what would be most visible. So below are some pictures.

This is them cleaned with the steel brush

Mounted on the car, the clear coat took away a little of the reflectiveness but they still look good!

why wouldnt you just powder coat them chrome? it would be way more effective time wise...and it's not that bad cost wise, either.

i'm seriously going to steal your idea. i saw chrome/polished calipers on an sc300 once, one of the coolest things, honestly.

I didn't want to power coat them because it would have cost me more than about the 15 dollars i have in sand paper, and I had alll winter to do it so time wasn't an issue, also since the caliper is aluminum I am not adding any material on top of it to potentially flake or corrode.

thats legit. might as well do the rest of it though. cuz once you slap them one your just gonna wish you had..even if you cant see it

Either paint them black and try to hide them, or paint them with chrome spray paint, or I can make my car always look like a drag car by running my currently awesome crosslaced wheels in the back, hiding my rear calipers

Im not sure on the type of material they are.... so for now they will just stay black, I painted my rear calipers with silver wheel paint just so the front and rear looked kinda similar, but it would clash against the aluminum
