I got a old gas light out front and it worked till i was putting flowers in the garden and hit the line with the shovel few years ago:)

So this weekend i decided to fix it. I went and turned the gas on to see if i could now find the leak and i got nothing coming out so i broke loose after the gate valve which i got gas there. Well i need to get it re connected but i am going to twist the line if wrench on it. Its not copper its like flex lead pipe or alum or something. Nots sure the house is from the early 50's Can i use copper and solder to it? If not how would you tie it all toghter? I was just going to replace the whole line from that gate valve to the other picture which is 1/4" tubbing. Do i need to just replace this all with gal pipe? do they make it 1/4" size?

I think you will really need to replace that valve with gal pipe. Or you can use 205 valve to replace the working part. I ordered those valves and they're working perfect.
