Plug Gapping

What would be the best gapping for the 3.4 set up, Ive read .055, .054, .55...Im a little confused, also I need to replace my plugs about um now..Can I safely run the auto 104's gapped to whatever on the stock pulley for about a month till I drop pulley and tune?

mine are gapped at .55 and ive never had a problem. but ive read they should be fine gapped anywhere from .53-.55.
 
if you gap your plugs at .55 then you are clearly a moron. learn how to measure.

plugs are gapped in THOUSANDTHS. stock gap is .060", but when you run more boost you have to close it up a little so that you dont blow out the spark when going WOT. i always ran .050" because i didnt want to screw with it, but the correct way to do it is to start big and tighten them up until you dont get anymore misfires.

also, why change your plugs now when they are just as easy to change later. running colder plugs when you dont need to will just net you lower gas mileage for no reason?
 
damn half inch gap. Just wait till you drop a pulley no point to change them now as bio said. Also we do you need to change them right now?
 


well u know wat i mean. .055. so wat if i made a writing mistake. i have mine gapped at .055 and never had a problem.
 
Thanks for your help guys..Bio you are the coolest, man! As always, Informative yet entertaining at the same time.. :th_laugh-lol3:, The reason for a need of change of plugs soon..I recently had the car scanned as i was ready to drop pulleys but found out the o2 sensor needs to be changed and I have a misfire in one of my plugs #2 I believe.. So Im going to change those so I can drop safely. But I no longer have the cash to do it all at once,that's why I asked if I could run it safely with the 104 plugs instead of getting stock and then changing to the 104's when i drop in 2-4 weeks.
 
I run NGK TR55IX (1/2 range colder than stock) plugs at .060 on a 3.5 setup. Run your plugs either at .055-.060. Your not going to get your plugs accurate to .001 so worrying about .054-.055 is kind of stupid. Just get your plug between .055-.060 and call it a day.
