Plug gap???

OK. In 2000 (I think... old age... haha!) I had the "breaking up on boost" issue. Replaced wires and coils. A buddy of mine from the turbo import crowd said "plugs" and gap em for .035. This magic number has appeared in the turbo V8 crowd that I run with also. I have been running this plug gap ever since.

Over here, I see anywhere from .045 to .055 plug gap recommendations. My mod list is in my signature. What say you all?

.040 to .050 is good on these cars for medium power levels.

If you were pushing like 400-500whp with like a turbo setup, then a lower gap would be likely wanted. Most the LS V8's run smaller gaps even closer to .028-.030 because of the power they make. Also they have a higher compression ratio too, around 9.5:1 to 11:1 depending on engine.

Ok. I will try that. Thanks! BTW, I have no issues running .035 gap. Maybe the .045 will help mileage a lil bit. LOL! Wishful thinking when I keep making her whine. LOL!

Boost relative... Mild mods, .45, 3" or smaller pulley I'd go .40

Copper plugs and change em often ; )
