It's basically a bar of clay, you can use this to remove tar, impurities in the paint, and other things that get "stuck" in the clear coat. It takes hours to claybar a car, but the results are absolutely amazing.

at the body shop we used pam cooking spray for the same effect (neither causes fisheyes unlike armorall)

Ha, we did the same thing at our body shop. The customers would walk in and look at us like we were crazy, untill we showed them what we were doing. we got so many people hooked on pam, it was funny to see we werent the only shop doing that

I hate fisheyes. I am trying to paint my HUD trim on my dash and I cant avoid fish eyes no matter how much I cleaned, prep, and sanded. Dang fisheyes still come through. Probably a result of 10 years of armorall in the part.
Any suggestions?

:th_lightbulb: When your sanding you need to first clean with a solvent that has a slow evap, then sand THEN again clean the surface with a fresh towel+solvent.... Go to your local auto paint store and ask for it, also useing a scotch brite black pad would help because if your useing sand paper your grinding stuff into the plastic :th_lightbulb:

I use to use Turtle Wax Tire Wax and I liked it alot but I cant find it anymore I think they stopped making it. It smelled good too.

i use turtle wax ice total interior care on everything and have no prob. with it
