hey everyone, i need advice..... i HAD a 99 GTP and it was souped up like u wudnt believe. i was goinn down the road and some asshole ran a stoplite and totaled my car. my motor along with all the performace mods and transmission are still fine. i want to swap it into a new GP but dont know enough or if i even should. so anyone with any advice, dont hesitate to leave it. if there is somewere r someone u know, how much it would cost, etc....

Mr I can't speak: do you have an engine lift? Or are you willing to demod that engine and put those mods on a new one.

Answer that and you'll have answered your own question.

to answer your question, i would take the motor and trans out, and decide whether to buy another Wbody or sell off the parts and make some cash
 
sell off the parts to make some money back on it man. if you have a downpipe a 3.4 hub and pulley i WILL PURCHASE! :) soz to hear about your ride man.

People come to this forum looking for help, not criticism. Kind of like you do when you have a question. If you can't be helpful, please refrain from opening your crumb-grinder, and just move on the the next thread..

To the OP, if you bought the car all ready modded, and don't know how to transfer the engine/trans/mods to another GP, my advise would be take the insurance money, buy something newer, and part out the GP. The money involved paying someone else to re-mod a 10 year old Pontiac would get stoopid. Insurance pay outs are based on KBB values, not on how cool you felt your car was, or on how much you liked it. Get something newer, and rear-wheel drive :th_winking:.
 


:th_sign-withstupid: just part it and get what you can get. If you take it to a shop to have your drivetrain swapped your gonna have more there then all then rebuying all your add ons. Unless you get another gp i would either sell whole to someone who will use it, or part it out on here, theres many willing people to buy performance parts, especially if the price is right! Your buy back on it will only be a few hundred anyway and you can get more then that out of the s/c alone!
 
thanx man, these lil boys were gettn pretty gay with all their lil smart ass comments. yea i bought it like that, and although i kno a lot about cars n junk, transferrn parts or installin em arnt my specialty. problly just like the queers on here thnkn there cool by startin junk on the computer. i duno wut im goin to do tho....
 
i would but i wouldn't take it to a shop, find someone who knows there 3800's local for you and have them help you with it. With the labor rate nowadays its not worth it
