• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

please help!

So this car after head gasket rebuild in such...I ran a hose thru to clean coolant out and saw that the rear freeze plug was missing closest to passenger side. Please tell me I can replace this without pulling motor or dropping trans?! :(

your choice, pull the engine, or the tranny. you may of had a shot while the heads were off, but i guess they are back on now.

Can you get your hand to the hole? If you can get a screw type freeze plug. They work just fine especially when you don't have room to pound a new one in.

no way my hand will fit in there from the bottom. theres like maybe 3 inches of space between the trans pan and oil pan.

Hmm from top of car I can put my hands there and put my fingers in the hole (lmao thats what she said) so I bought a few different size rubber freeze plugs and praying that I can tighten one up back there! I feel I may be able to... it will suck but would be best n my situation at the moment lol

i posted in chat, not sure if you saw or not. but a block heater fits in a freeze out plug hole, you may be able to pop one of them in there. they slide in the hole and a bolt makes it tight, like a molly type deal.

Hmm really? What would that cost and what size? I can try that too :) I just need this plug in long enough to see how motor acts after rebuild before I pull motor! If I pull the motor I may replace whole block but at my current position may take a bot for me to get :/ so that's why im trying several options before I pull it... btw scottydoggs you've been extremely badass with all your help man thank you :)

never saw one, so i dont know how it works.

block heater is nice to have. and if you can install it it solves your issue permanently.

So i was able to fit the rubber freeze plug in their quite nicely and finally started her up today :) Ill upload a video to show
