• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Please help!!!

I have an 06 Grand prix GT, code p0033, Boost bypass valve solenoid is what I need, CANT FIND ONE THAT LOOKS RIGHT......does anyone know which one is right or will work and where i can find one for my 06, please and thank you. I miss my remote start and can't stand seeing that damn light on in my baby.:th_angry-teeth: Would rather not go to the STEALERship and give them any more of my money:cool::th_thumb-up:

Alright, I got the part but there are a few differences. The mounting braket is a little different but still ok but the difference that is throwing me off is where they put that little foam piece. on the original part the foam piece is on the top port on the right side, so a hose comes in on the left and the other hose comes in on the right, but on the replacement part the foam piece is on the only port on the left side, leaving both ports on the right side open for hoses. Am I supposed to connect to both ports on the right side or did they maybe put the foam on the wrong side and does that mean I should put the foam piece on the top right side like the original. Any help would be great just want to make sure before I go have the codes cleared.

I would connect it the way your other one was. On mine, the right side (side with two ports) the top port is open to atmosphere. The bottom port is connect to the vac line going to the valve. The other side is connected to the FPR. That foam piece you're talking about is probably the filter.

Yep, thats right, when I got the new part they put the foam piece, and the metal collar that holds it in place, on the only port on the left side. It is suppose to be on the top right and unfortunatly ya cant get the metal collar off so I bent it out of the way and zip tied the foam filter were it was suppose to go and hooked it up the way the old one was and BINGO. Did not relize how much boost was not there with out it, or at least not when it was suppose to be.Ran with out it for 4 months and noticed a major difference not only in more boost but also in the shifting. After the 4th month I noticed that after the trans got to 200 degress or more the trans shifted hard going into each gear, but as soon as I put the solenoid on and got to temp it no lobnger did that. From what I understand, it limits boost at varies times, one of which is during shifting. So all the little problems that I had all went away and that DAMN SES light is finnally gone.(interesting note: After turning on and running to tha parts store, the light was on when I got there But was off when I left, never came back on, did she relize it was fixed without me having to clear her codes?)Baby is back to full power again and running like a champ, went for long drive last night and was stoked, It really seemed to make a big difference in having more boost now. Not sure why some people take it out off the loop, runs ALOT better with it. Well thank you every body who helped. MY BABYS BACK!!
