please help, overheating problem

ok, so cruising on the highway maybe 70 or 75mph with the a/c cranked up i noticed the car started to get hot slowly. And of course got worse when traffic caught up. i quickly turned the a/c off and put the heater on. and it went down. i got off the highway and rolled the windows down no a/c no heat and the car stayed at normal temperature. when i got home i checked the coolant and it looked pretty dirty. any help is appreciated, i'm very new to 3800s.

id flush the system change the tstat and bleed it really good also check the radiator cap

make sure the fans are both running with a/c on and take a look at the fins on your condensor.. could be the fins arnt letting enough air flow or your condensor is plugged

and make sure the coolant levels are where they should be...

yea forgot about that the fans give out sometimes
