Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I have a 2001 GP GTP with 160k on the clock. Never had a problem with it until now. I was driving the car and the info center started to flash 0.0 on everything. (MPG, Oil life, Fuel used, ect.) But it still ran fine. I drove it for about another 10 miles and shut it off. About 15 min. later i come back and go to start the car. It turns over just wont start. And NOTHING electrical works. (headlights, brake lights, interior lights, cig lighter, ect.) But the car will turn over all day long. When you turn the key to on the only lights that light up are the red oil can light and the red battery light. No service engine soon, nothing. And the key will not turn backwards to go into accessory and the key is stuck in the ignition. There is no power getting to the interior fuse box. A mechanic told me that he thinks my ECM went out. Any second opinions?

PLEASE HELP

wont help the new guy much as he dont know your pb account info i bet lol and im not about to loose another 3 or 4 hours trapped in there lol

Ground on the bell housing is good. battery cables are good. There is power the the fuse box under the hood but no power past the engine compartment.

Any other suggestions?????

Well I just went out after the car sat for about 12 hours and the battery is completely dead. The key was off the entire time. Any new ideas? I wouldn't think it is the ignition switch bc it will turn over when I turn the key.

Your first post pointed us directly toward lack of power. Didn't sound like you checked for power, you did say it cranked though.

Get it charged up, see if it'll start. That's step 1.
Then get a multimeter between the battery and the cable, set to amps and look for a large draw. If you have one find your draw by pulling fuses.

The fact that it will turn over in no way eliminates the possibility of the ignition switch. When those go bad, or start going bad, the symptoms are random and weird. It may also be your Body Control Module, or any other circuit in the electrical system, as this guy found:

I would start with the simplest possibilities first. As Bill suggested, make sure it's not a charging issue (battery, alternator, wiring in between/grounding, etc), as those also cause bizzare issues as the power supply reaches a low point. If you find something is pulling a strong draw with the ignition off, best way to narrow it down/get a starting point as to where to look is to start pulling fuses as Bill suggested.

Battery tests good, alternator good, grounds good, power is going in and out of ECM. But nownim noticeing that there is a clicking noise coming from something on the throttle body when u unplug it it no long clicks but there is a clicking noise coming from the fuse box at the same time but it continues when the part on the throttle body stops.Key is off the entire time.

Did you test the battery on the car to see how much power it's putting out/if there's a draw on it with the ignition off?
