• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Please Help!!! GTP surging idle

ya your looking from the left side of the car (if your facing the motor) past the boost solenoid towards the TB and its the little hole at the bottom its CONSTANTLY sucking air

That's probably the issue then. I think my supercharger may not have that hole (gen V) I'll look at mine when I get home tonight (not my DD), but hopefully someone else can chime in before I do next.

Problem Solved! well Mostly...
so after replacing my MAF and IAC and a new plug wire things were better but not good yet. so i go back in and spray that hole again and sure enough my idle goes right back up i got frustrated and plugged the hole with a piece of paper and i heard a slight hiss... LOL i hunted around for a min and found a SECOND vacuum leak! so i replaced some hose and all is well!
that little hole still sucks air though? WTF im not so sure what that is all about but my car runs great aside from that! thanks everyone for all your help!

do i dare do that? i dont want to hurt anything? if its there its there for a reason right? i have been looking but it doesnt seem that anyone else is having the same problem

im not sure i know what you mean? the TB has one bolt on top and two on bottom all in different locations from the hole. when i took the TB off i noticed that there is a dipped in section in the TB that looks like it leads up insie the TB. im assuming that it suppose to adjust air intake but it wouldnt be filered air? im so lost. i just want to know what this stupid thing is so i can fix it haha

That's a random little hole you have there. I'd just plug it up with JB Weld and call it a day. I've never seen that hole and don't think it would serve any purpose.

That's why I mentione using RTV. If for some reason it gets sucked into the motor, it will not damage anything because it's soft. Just make sure you do it while the motor is cold and you let it set up over night.

Thanks for the advise i think this is what im going to do but i just dont know enough yet. there has got to be some purpose or it wouldnt be there? im the third owner of this car so i guess it could have been drilled by someone after market but its so perfectly done it looks like it was done in the factory?
