Plastidip'd the front fascia

No i didn't do the rear yet, that's next. It was literally 30* out when I sprayed it. I am thoroughly impressed how well this laid down in that cold weather. The back is next, I'm going to spray it silver and mask the "Pontiac" then spray the rest black, it should come out nice.

im stealing your idea. lol.
i had this idea while doing my rims. gonna wait till the weather clears then respray those as well as my fascia.
looks great.

Yeah I was really impressed. Like I said it was like 30* when I sprayed it, the can was so cold, the first coat came out all globbed up and I was like Oooooooh CRAP! But I let it dry, took the can in the house and waited for the second coat, got the can nice and warm and every coat after that came out perfect!!

I suggest if you guys are going to use PlastiDip on this area, once you tape it off and get it sprayed before you peel the tape, take a razor blade and run it REAL LIGHTLY along the top of the lip where you tapped off because the PD wanted to lift up when I was peeling the tape.

where did you find your plastidip? I haven't really looked for it, but it has never jumped out at me in the store, either, if you get what I mean

Oh yeah, I know Home Depot carries it, but I stopped at my local Ace Hardware and they had it, it was on the lower shelf in the spray paint section. It was like $6 for an 11oz can

i would have never thought to look there. I never much liked home depot's pricing on spray paints, so I don't even go there

Yeah I know what you mean, they're never the cheapest place to go. I usually use them as a last resort before ordering something online and paying shipping

I took my time taping off the area.

Also the gap between the facia and the rest of the bumper helps the plastidip break or separate creating that nice clean edge

yeah, I thought I did a good job masking too...maybe I waited too long to peel the tape? because it was starting to lift a little
