plasti dipping whole car?

So my grand prixs got some cosmetic issues lol like faded clearcoat in a couple spots, rusted wheel well, and things like that, i dont want to pay for a paintjob, so i was considering plasti dipping it, they sell kits for entire cars, and you can get a glossy coating for it, my actual question is, even though plasti dip doesnt require sanding, i would want to sand and bondo areas that look bad so it would come out right, would that affect being able to plasti dip it? just curious lol

ive seen that some people on here dont like plasti dip, and id love to keep the nice red paint ive got now, but theres so many imperfections that bother me and i dont have money for a brand new paintjob, id go to maaco but theyre no good

Im a dip supporter :)

Try the forums on dip your car.com. Lots of info over there. I just dipped a grand prix a while back.

Keep in mind that there are a lot of people having issues removing it.

You could paint your own car for about what dipping it would cost if you already have a compressor and paint gun.

Another option is advance auto sells some paint called "perfect match". Its premixed to you cars paint code. You could use that to paint the problem areas as opposed to painting the whole car. the color comes pretty close when used with their clear. I was giving the front plate delete on my car about a month before I buffed it to make it shine a little more. The color match was actualy pretty good for the price.

thats the thing my car has imperfections around the whole thing, the biggest being a mark from being keyed along the side

go for it...I'm debating dipping my roof and side mirrors with a sprayer and a gallon of flat black....as long as its put on right, it's a win in my books....they also have plenty of colors to choose from.....DO EEIT!!

I dipped part of my hood, liked it for a week lol, went to take it off yesterday, well we didnt do a thick enough coat and took me almost 2 hours to get off lols.
