Plasti Dip

So I have an 08 Grand Prix GP...

I'm thinking of doing something different..

I have red calps..

Murdered out windows.. Thinking about blacking out the side skirt, tail lights, Spolier, door handles. With Plasti-Dip Thoughts?

The guys from Dipyourcar.com have some pretty sweet projects, thought I'd try something new.

I think really the only option for the 04+ is the Inferno hood, sometimes they pop up in the classifieds. Pretty much all the venders are gonna be the same price

i would def plastidip the rims, and get the glossifier spray as well to make them pop a bit more

Leave the dip to the ricers. You have nice paint leave it at that. If anything tint the tails, brake light and rev the properly way. Inferno hood is really your only easy available choice and you'll probably end up having to buy that directly for PFYC it's rare to find them pop up for sale.

Man please don't plastidip anything on that beautiful car. The only thing you're gonna get out of it is some poorly "painted" body panels that don't add to the overall appeal, a cheap look because plastidip is nothing new and everyone knows its $6, and tail lights that have a hard time letting light through. The only good I see coming from it is that it can be easily taken off after you realize its not a good look or when this trend eventually dies. Don't take any offense to this please because I'm not trying to be mean, its just that plastidip is ugly and your car is not ugly :th_thumbsup-wink:

I tried to plastidip my roof and it looked like a backwoods horror show.

If your going to mod your car, make it faster.
GP's aren't meant for show.

That the fawk is all.

I would not even bother with plasti dip. You should save your money for the inferno hood and some lowering springs.

Use dip in the winter on your rims to keep them free of salt corrosion and stuff. I did my gxp ones black. Looked ok and a change of pace but cool thing about dip besides the smell lol...is it comes right off in the spring. Just a thought. Agree with everyone a RED gxp looks sweet!

I have a few ideas, keeping it classy, but giving it just what it needs to stand out.

If you want it to stand out just get on the gas. People will turn and say, "I've never heard a v6 that sounded like that". And you can smile because you know that they sincerely think that you have a v6 and you know that you don't. The engine sound is enough to make it stand out imo.
