Hey I'm new to this forum thing first ever post but I'm tryin it out! So this weekend i think I'm going to plasti dip my rims and I know how to do it and all but I'm wondering if I should leave a silver lip all the way around, paint the lip red , or paint it all black . I have a silver grand prix with polished aluminum rims not the torque stars but the other idk how to explain 3 pointish idk.. And red brake calipers. So help me out?oh and keep it flat black or shiny black(clear coat? And any tips?

My rims look like the silver car in the back ground. Would they look good black?

Welcome. What part of kc do you live at?

Im not a huge fan of plastidip.. So I'll keep my mouth shut on that subject.

But it's always nice to have someone else from kc on here.

What year/model? Post up some pics

Like the liberty area? Wbu? And not exactly sure on how to post pics but 2001 4dr gt and kinda just started modding it. First car kinda deal

Im in the Waldo area of KCMO. About a stones throw away from the kansas side.

Good luck with the car, when you get pictures start a members ride thread. Lots of good info on the site. By the way, the search bar is on the very top of the page, it's black also so it's pretty hidden.

^^tell him he has a sexy car ;)

anyway to get back on topic...i'd say go ahead and do the whole thing black to see what it looks like cause keeping a silver lip is a pain. and if ya don't like the way all black looks you can take it off and try something else

it's flat and ugly looking. and black wheels are terrible all in themselves, but i didn't go that far.

OP, leave them how they are and get a new set of wheels. don't ruin them by taking the cheap way out.
