plan on getting a WS6 hood *flamesuit on*

saw on CL a local is selling his ws6 hood he bought online at andysbodykit.com....its the fibergalss and duraflex brand. grant it i prefer a F1 or an SD hood but finding one locally for $400 is very slim. i plan on picking it up and ratchet strapping it on my pop's gmc jimmy(hopefully it holds:th_nervous:). anyways my question is for those who has or had one, i understand the vents are not really functional but goes straight through. is it possible to cut a hole on both ends of the vents to make it functional and have it go in and out of the engine bay? also how hard is the fitment issues especially the back corner angles? any sanding needed?

TIA

aww u should put "hood" in the title. i got all excited when it said ws6, and now it actually means a ws6 hood :(

Re: plan on getting a WS6 *flamesuit on*

the admins should enable the title changes as well as the post grrr

Re: plan on getting a WS6 *flamesuit on*

u can do it yourself. just edit your post and click advanced options.

i would buy it and try and sell for more, im dont know if these are high priced like the f1 or sd.

thx, changed the title.

edit-they're not really high priced....i just want a hood other than stock. i got a wings west spoiler sitting to be installed and painted to color match my purple car :-)

Yuck my least favorite hood and my least favorite spoiler.
Regardless, pics when it's done. I'm still interested.

Yay for openess!! I have heard a lot of bad things of this hood but never seen it on a car (for lack of trying) post it up when you get pics

no problem. honestly im gonna use hi-gloss rattle can dupli-color to paint the hood and 3-4 coats of clear. that'll be alot of rattle cans after im done with it. or should i just run straight primer?:th_sick1::th_laugh-lol2:.....the spoiler is definitely getting painted to match my car though lol:th_peaceout:

mmmmmmaybe:th_nervous:
i've spray painted my rims before, grant it rims are a smaller surface area.....
worse case then is getting it painted flat black when i get my spoiler painted:th_thumbsup-wink:

ugly hood - check.
ugly spoiler - check.
spraypaint the fvck out of it - check.
look like a fool driving it - check.

being a ricer does not cost a fortune. for everything else, theres mastercard.

But in all seriousness, the WS6 hood is just plain ugly. I wouldn't run it if someone gave me one for free. Same with the spoiler you have. Are you at least running aftermarket wheels?
