Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

got a few questions. heres my list of things to do before i topswap my 2000 gp.

port and polish the blower
port the TB
port the LIM.
get headers and catback.

I figured since id have the motor broke down id put in rockers/springs to go along with the topswap. my question is, what do i need to do to install them, as far as supporting mods? what is my best choice to get? i plan on having this as a DD but i want it to be fun.

porting the LIM is only worth your time if going I/C is in the cards.

Porting the TB is only worth it if you're going to tune the car yourself or get a custom tune.

ive got to find a place to do the tuning for me. this is all goin to be later down the road. like novemberish or next spring, im just working on getting the parts gathered up and as much info as i can in my head. Im learning along the way. thats why im on this site. to learn!

meant to say i wanted to do that to. might as well get everything done and outta the way while its sittin around and not already on my car.

Having your heads/blower ported will net great gains with headers and a custom tune. Especially if your gonna run Methanol or an IC...should be able to run a 3.4" on the daily with a decent amount of timing.

I plan on ordering a set of speed daddy headers. i was readin an older thread on them yesterday. they seem to be ok for the price. Does anyone know any tuners around the Toledo area? Id much rather have a custom tune then a canned one. what would be a safe pulley size to run if i have headers, heads/TB/LIM/Blower ported.

also Blue do you know what mods i need to put rockers in? Im still learning about this kinda stuff. I figured since id have the heads already off to put em on there. those are my main concerns

You dont need the heads off to install rockers, but all you need is some #105 springs and a new stock replacement timing chain.

very true. ive got to many ideas i want to for this thing. how i wish i was rich. how hard is it to install springs and rockers?

u should look into getting a tuner and learning to tune if ur gonna go all out on a top swap.... im sure theres more than a few ppl here who would help ya out with tuning advice.

thats why u learn the basics first... then slowly venture into other tables.. ive read a good bit on it... gotta start somewhere.

seems pretty easy if you have common sense... dont make any major changes at one time... slowly up/down tables and scan as u go.

so i was just looking at my blower case, and i noticed one of the studs coming out for the TB is broken. any way this can be replaced? or do i need a new case?
