my bose system uses the pink lead to turn on outboard amp. i cut off the black plug and tapped into pink lead so my aftermarket hu would work. went back to stock and of course black plug was long gone. went to boneyard and got one. only a bose car has the pink lead. i assume most of the non bose hu also have the 2nd terminal pin out but it is not used. yard had a dozen grand prixs but only 1 had bose.

The 99 car uses a different main plug. Seems all the 99-00 cars HU has 2 rear terminals. I think around 01-02, GM went to the large single white plug. Seems my hu is a bit flaky. Volume is sketchy and dig display is skewed sometimes. Does work though. I got a double din hu from a 99 intrigue buried in my junk pile. Think they are very similar. Might be able to swap them. Gotta find it first.
