Pillar Pod

Bedwards

New member
I have a 3 gauge pillar pod from ZZP and I have NO clue how to mount it. The metal underneath (side frame) won't accept a screw, it's way too hard. The pod has 3 holes in it, but I have no idea how to secure it. I'm so frustrated. Please help!

Go ahead and mock up the pod, take a marker (with a fine tip) mark the holes, next take the pod down, drill holes with a bit thats the same size or a bit smaller than the screws your using. Then mount the pod back up, HAND screw in the new screws (be careful because they crack easy). Hope this helps.

Thanks for the response, but I tried this. I ended up breaking a drill bit the first go-around. Then when I finally got the hole drilled to the right size, the screw would literally mash and ruin the threads. The metal is too hard to screw into.
