• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

pictures for every1 of GTP

All I can think of is the bracing bracket that runs to the side of the engine block.
2 bolts on the trans diff cover, and 2 (13mm??) bolts to the engine block. I missed the 2nd bolt to the block for a few minutes...

These were the 2 bolts..motor is now out and on the stand. going to pull the heads off shortly and then flip it over and pull the pan.

What do I need to do to get the Harmonic Balancer off, the bolt is out, but I don't really seen a way to take it off? This definitley isn't the same as my old small block chevy motors.

basically if your doing a tear down work from the top and work down like what i did blower then lim then valve covers then heads then accessories and stuff then pan have fun ha putting the pan on the car and or taking it off with the engine still in is a nightmare lol

Motor is out and on the stand, heads are off, rod/main bearings look good, just not sure where the metal came from...must be the cam bearings. Have to get the balancer off and pull the timing set to get the cam out and see what everything looks like.

Did you get your motor back up and running again?

its back in car we started it a few days ago she ran better then ive ever heard it run before for like 20 minutes then we started to hear knocking..... turns out the oil filler picup tube was hitting and we took the pan off yesturday tomarrow night we should be done hopefully........ keyword hopefully

Hehe..I won't be driving the GP but I'm sure I can meet up with you next weekend and follow you. It's going to be in Crystal Lake right?
