petty edition GP

yea the price is a lil high...but i bet u wont find another of that edition in that good of shape ...it says its (1of43) less than 8 k miles

they have one of those at the richard petty museum in north carolina im pretty sure. it was a long time ago when i was there.

if that car was red i would consider for at least a few minutes on blowing my savings.

Definately geared towards a Nascar or Petty fan. Personally with the miles and condition, it should be in a museum and not in some ones garage. You can't drive something like that...

My wife and I have one for sale for $12,500 o.b.r.o. It has 3,950 miles on it and is in excellent condition. My wife won it through the Pepsi promotion in 1991. It is car # 22 of 43. I'm going to attempt listing it for sale in the Sale section. Roy

Are you talking about one of these?

If so, there were 1000 made of those in '92. Not sure where you're getting the 43 from. I've seen people ask for some obscene amounts for those cars, but in all reality, they're really not worth much over a regular Grand Prix of that year despite their rareness. This is because the Richard Petty Edition really didn't offer anything more than some simulated Richard Petty signature decals on the doors and rear, along with key-colored crosslace wheels, and the 3.4 DOHC standard. Hell, most of the time, they weren't even well equipped (a lot of them didn't have the AQ9 16-way power seats, or a driver info center, or CD player, or sunroof, etc). Buuuuuut since it's rare, and it says Richard Petty, there are always those people who incorrectly think that car is worth a fortune.
