Petcock- 2000 GP GT-flush

Looked up the the tread on draining and flushing the radiator. I used a 1/4 drive ratchet to open and drain the Pink, ran "flush" fluid and drained, filled with water to rise and thats when the petcock no longer opened with a 1/4 turn. Petcock rotates clockwise to a stop, However the 1/4 turn counter will not allow fluid to drain. I tried to force compressor air up into the drain port while turning petcock to see if it was plugged, also tried the wire poke, no luck.

Now what.

i was able to drain radiator w/ siphon. Coolant and water 70/30 added and car runs fine.

what are my options in regard to this petcock trouble.

Likely being plastic it stripped on the first try. I agree with FFDP, after battling a few of these crappy things and dealing with plugged etc.. Lower rad hose everytime.
 
I also agree with that since I did the same thing on my flush. I have an aftermarket rad, and it's got a plastic knob you turn. Well it wouldn't turn, and taking pliers to it would surely break it, so I drained using the lower rad hose.
 
I agree with what BillBoost37 has said. Petcocks on radiators never seem to work for me. (Maybe on a brand new car)
 
The other thing.. is we are men, we want that thing drained asap..not in 15 minutes. Petcock is about 3/8" round, lower hose.. almost 2 inches. arrrr arrrrr arrrrr
