Perpetual belt squeak

So...my supercharger belt won't stop squeaking.

I pulled the supercharger belt to make sure that's one it was coming from, and it was. The belt is a Gates belt I purchased from O'Reilys, which is the same brand making the NAPA belts ZZP sells for use with their pulley system. I just put it in back in July when I switched to the 3.2.

I went from an Intense 3.0 (I know, it was way too small. No lectures please.:p) with an unlabed belt to the ZZP 3.2 with the Gates belt and started getting some belt squeak a few weeks later. I think it's the supercharger pulley causing my problems, as I found some black dust on the pulley and the snout. Also, if I go WOT to the top of first and let off quickly I hear a nice chirp right as I do, like the sudden slowdown causes the belt to slip.

Anyway, I know I really shouldn't be seeing any belt slip with the 3.2...I wouldn't think it's small enough to cause any real problems, especially since the 3.0 was fine. Is there anything I should do? After cleaning the pulley off my belt squeak went away for a week or two, but it's back now and getting more obnoxious just about every day. I'll buy a new belt if I need to, but I don't know what brand would be better than this crazy-expensive Gates belt I'm using. Any type of belt dressing or anything? Go back to an Intense pulley?:th_laugh-lol2:

Thanks.

Pulley alignment should be fine. I checked the hub when I was swapping pulleys and it appears to be pressed on all the way. It's also the same hub that the 3.0 was bolted to, so if that was the problem I would think I would have experienced the same issues with that pulley/belt.

I think today I'll pull off the belt, wash it with soap/water and apply a bit of belt dressing directly to it and see if that won't quiet it down.

If you found some black dust on it, my thoughts would be belt slip, though why you would get it with a 3.2 and not a 3.0 Im not exactly sure, but belt dust is typically a sign of that. Look at your tensionser, where is the indicator pointing at, is it far right or far left or somewhere in between.

I know in Autozone they sell CRC belt dressing and that stuff is awesome, may want to give that a try.
