Performance Shift stuck off

I have a 1998 GTP, and recently i found that my performance shift won't engage. I have a DHP 1.0 pcm, which makes the performance shift much more noticeable. The clicker on my shifter doesn't do anything, and the light never comes on (for the 1998's the perf shift indicator is a blue words on the dash, not under the boost guage) I'm about 90% sure that it's stuck off and it isn't just the light not working, i can feel the shifts are not as stiff. Not sure what to do if anything can be done

the light will never come on unless you put a bulb in the dash. i dont know of any GPs that came with the bulb. also, whats the big deal with performance shift? if you get your car tuned right youll always be in 'performance shift'.

I got a 03 Limited Edition and I installed performance shift knob and wiring by myself. I didn't change anything else and it came up on my dash when it's active.

i would rather have mine in the dic like that than a gay blue light in the dash..i can see the letters in my dic, they just dont light up..

Sorry about that off topic post before I zoned and just remembered performance shift. Maybe over time you got a loose wire or a wire became disconnected. Would hurt to take the knob off and hook a different switch up to it to make sure the switch on the knob didn't go bad. Just a couple ideas.

take a test light to it to make sure you have power to the switch and adjust accordingly meaning ground it better or run a new power wire to the pcm. And or replace the knob.

Also Bio my car's a 99 and it doesn't light up the DIC i have a bulb in the dash. The car was stock when i bought it too. Little blue light up in there.
