performance shift problems and bulb question

ok so, i added performance shift today using a regal gs shifter w/ perf button, i have a signal going to the button and a ground coming out. The performance shift definitely works (since i 0'ed out t/c lockup) but that's the only way i can tell its on, the light on the DIC doesn't illuminate and i can't figure out why. I am using a 98 gtp dic

also does anyone know where i can get and what kind of bulb the gauge cluster takes so i can get the perf-shift to light up there.
