Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

hey, i just installed the zzp hv3 in my GP, I now currently have the zzp hv3, K&N CAI, and magnaflow mufflers. My car is a 1998 GP GT with 149***kms. Before the hv3 i should of had a little boost of hp, but it seemed that i got none, and i installed the hv3 and the performance got worse.(it is installed correctly.) Before my hv3, i was getting 0-60's in low 9's, or 9 flat. Now i tried it with the hv3, it is now 10.2. That is just wrong isnt it. What is wrong with my car? Does my PCM need to get tuned? i am thinking on getting an Overkill Pcm, do you guys think it would help? Or is it just wear and tear over the years thats making my car so slow? Thanks for the help guys, i am really getting frusterated over this, and all your imput would be apretiated.

Do you have any exhaust mods? Mufflers don't count. Your probably knocking. Get a PLOG and Downpipe.

No, the only exhaust mods i have are mufflers. How would i know forsure that it is knocking? wouldnt it make a knocking kind of sound? ive seen vids of people when they start theyre car and the engine knocks. Im new to the whole car stuff. Whats a PLOG?

Like i said im a new. Where could i take it to get scanned? just an ordinary repair place im hoping? And if my engine was knocking would it show up as an error code? I have no check engine light on, but could that mean i may still have some codes coming up?

ok thanks. I just quickly looked up what can cause engine knocks, and it said that one big factor is a lean air/fuel mixture. I have read that when people get CAI's theyre cars run abit lean and need to get tuned. Well i have that and the hv3. So if it was running lean already, would it run even more lean since there is maybe even more airflow? Is it possilble to get a stock pcm tuned or only custom ones? i am going to get an Overkill pcm soon. Would that cure the lean mixture if i do have one?

It should help also are you sure you dont have any vacuum leaks after you did the hv3 that would cause performance issues aswell

Yea i am sure that its done properly but you never know. If that could be the case are there any way i could figure that out on my own? i got a friend who is a mechanic. Or do i need computers to figure this out?

Well, I’m kind of butting in here, but I have a question. Do you have the plastic upper intake? If so, that would be the first place I would look. Also, having a HV3 myself it does take a little bit of torque off the low end, and puts more back after about 4K-5K, to get the most out of the insert you need to raise your shift points up to ~6K. Good luck.

Yea thats what i heard about with raising the shifting points, hence why my next upgrade will be an Overkill PCM. And yea i do have the plastic upper manifold

really think knock will be a problem on a n/a car? if it is then its because the air fuel mixture is wayyy off... if anything i would suggest its the fact that the hv3 takes off a lil on the low end.
