Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

PCV issues......

RamairGTP2

They call me TriPod
So I did this on my car.... Its an L32 with a ported blower, stock L67 throttle body with adapter, plog and a 3 inch catless dp..... I actually killed my car by putting my hand over the oil filler on the valve cover... Why is my crank case sucking in so much air?????

If your getting pressure to push dip stick out under boost you have a leak. LIM gaskets or the supercharger gasket.

Re: How to get PCV to work instead of valve cover breather!

are you running a line from your throttle body to the nipple on the Gen V or do you have it capped?

Re: How to get PCV to work instead of valve cover breather!

You mentioned in a PM it pushed out dipstick and pushed oil out dipstick Anytime you have enough pressure to push dipstick out there is something wrong. Worse case it's blow by on the piston(bad rings), most likely it's a gasket. It will probable push oil out the breather also.

Re: How to get PCV to work instead of valve cover breather!

Do you have an intercooler?

If so...I bet you have an internal leak between the top of the intercooler and the blower.

He has L32 engine including supercharger with L67 TB. No Intercooler. He's leaking air below supercharger somewhere. Super gasket, lim gasket or pistons. I would think piston rings would leak at idle also so I bet it's a gasket.

Re: How to get PCV to work instead of valve cover breather!

Shouldn't he just be drilling and tapping the throttle body and connecting that to the nipple on the back of the Gen V with the regular oil cap installed?

Re: How to get PCV to work instead of valve cover breather!

Well duh.

That's famously called a "garleak" for a reason.

Get a factory one and enjoy.

Rollin...

Go to the parts store and buy two rolls of the gasekt roll that's greyish and is a paper rubber mix. Then reach up right above that and get a tube of permatex red goop labeled 26b

Use a ball peen hammer to tap yourself out the gasket. (I assume you need top and bottom of IC, hence two rolls). Wipe 26B onto the manifold around the charger opening, bypass holes and pcv areas. Lay your gasket in place, put 26b on top of the gasket in the same places, put IC in place. make your IC to charger gasket based on the bottom of the charger. put 26b on the IC core in the same places, gasket, more 26b and charger. Bolt it all down.

I've done about 10-15 this way and never had a single leak. It'll cost you about $15 and be done.

Looking at the LIM picture the air inlet hole is huge. I wonder if your not sealing by the boost bypass hole.

Take a look at the underside of the gen 3 near the bypass valve. Is there a slot that goes around the bypass valve? I can't remember if it's on gen 3 or gen 5 or both. If it has that slot that slot must seal because that is part of the front PCV porting to the TB. That slot can not leak into the air inlet part of the LIM.

Take or find a picture of underside gen 3!

Gen 5. See the slot going partially around the bypass hole. Does gen 3 have one?

I don't think the gen 3 has the slot.

The 2 PCV holes in the manifold (you now have 3) can not leak into the lower intake manifold. If the they leak, it would put vacuum and boost into the crankcase.

Wait your gen 5! Make sure that slot seals to top of manifold!!!

If not you might need a new manifold.

The slot circled in blue must seal to the surface of manifold without leaking into LIM. Doesn't look like you have enough material left on the manifold. If you were running the Intercooler that the manifold was modified for everything would probable seal.
