pcm? which one

I recently bought a pcm from 3800 and my car runs like $hit now. Those r version 1.0 and I can get 4.2, I think 4.2, from other sites. Should I go to one of these other sites?
 


If you want, I can give you "2011 version 11.3" bin if you like. (just joking of course) Version numbers on canned tunes are meaningless when compared from one brand to another. The numbers are determined/chosen by the maker of the canned tune.
 
Go with an overkill pcm it solved all my other canned tune problems i was having....it can bring you close to where you want to be at least it did for me.
 
overkill is one of the best if not the best tuner for a canned tune. he can disable any codes if you communicate with him what you want.:th_thumbsup-wink:
 


I have talked to the Men at INTENSE RACING, they are up in Ohio, they will program a PCM about anyway you want it. I checked on my application and they said it would be $135.00 as long as I supplied the PCM, they will put the VIN# in the PCM also, not a bad way to go?
 
i want to have 2 pcms, one for my E85 tune and a gas tuned one incase i have to roadtrip for whatever reason. who sells a decents canned tune for my back up pcm?
 
I got one from ZZP, car runs great but with stock pulley still on i am getting very high knock readings. I would assume that can't be to good so I would have to recomend NOT using them. I have heard a lot of good things about Intense, if I get another canned tune that's were I am going.
 


I know nothing about ZZP, but if they are a reputable business I am sure they can look into the KNOCK reading. I know INTENSE RACING said if they programmed my PCM for mileage that I would need to at least run the 89 octane fuel. At this time I am just trying to compute the cost for my second Spare PCM programming. If I have it programmed ? can I save money in the long run? INTENSE RACING can put the VIN# in the PCM also, which is nice if I have the PCM programmed and decide to leave it in and someday sell the car. If you ever have a concern with the PCM make sure you do NOT have GM flash it as you will lose all the special programming. It never hurts to give the place you may want to do business with a call ahead of time and see if you get a good feeling or not,

What mods do you have? When I was running canned tunes my zzp pcm left me with about 1-2 degrees of KR
 
Right now I do not have any special program mods in my PCM. I have thought of sending my spare PCM in to have it programmed. At this time I am more concerned on the shift points. Running the car daily and not using the car for racing at this time. I have thought seriously of putting headers on the car to let it breath better. I just have the cold air intake which seems to help some, not a set up like I may want, but I hate to tare apart the old air box from the car and modify it right now.
