PCM tune

So I've been trying to get a hold of a couple of local "tuners", one of them is apparently too busy to pick up the phone, the other one is missing.

So I'm looking at my options here and I really wouldn't like to spend 300+ on a tuner and then learn to do it myself.

Do you think if I get someone to send me a tuned PCM for my setup would work fine?

Given that I'm still running a regular DHP tune with my setup, I'm thinking that anything more customized for my setup would be better.

Your best option would be to buy a tuner, then get in touch with someone who will tune for you. Send him a few scans and your current pcm file, then he sends you back a new pcm file to upload. All can be done through email.

Another option would be to buy a spare pcm, send it off to get flashed, then get something to log scans with and email the scans to the tuner, while shipping the pcm to him. He gets the pcm, the scans, makes changes then ships the new pcm back and repeat the process until you both are happy how the car is running.

Yeah it looks like I don't have that many options. I do have a spare PCM, but the shipping costs of sending it back and forth a couple of times plus the cost of the tune would be close to the tuner's cost.

I guess I'll have to patient and see if I can catch a DHP for under 300 bucks in the used parts section.
