Part out or Sale

I have a PA Ultra with about 130k. Motor is in good shape and so is the body except for a little rust spot at the rear which Im going to fix. Lately I've been having trans problems such as hard shifts and Im thinking its the pcs. So Im thinking about selling it as is for $2000, add a shift kit then sell for $2300, or just part it out. Im thinking if I part it out I'll come out with more money. Any suggestions?

Part out or de-mod helps you get some money back out of the car. If its all stock you have a bunch of used parts that will get JY prices. Also depends on space, time, and cash. If you have a place to disassemble the car and atore the parts, and also wait as the money dribbles in, then yes, you can potentially make more parting out.

If you don't have the te or space, then I would sell the car and be done with it.

Yea unless you can afford to have it sit while you part it out.. There's potential to make money off of it but it's a stock car so there's a good chance you'll be sitting with stuff for awhile, if it was modded then those parts generally sell quick as long as the price is right. Personally I sell it as is and get out of your possession be reasonable with your asking price because of your trans issues

Maybe read a bunch about the solenoid fixes in the trans, buy the parts, and grind it out over a weekend...

Not that hard of a repair!

Edit for consistency -- If a choice between part out and sell, sell it!

I think Id rather just install a trans cooler and shift kit and ride it out until I come accross another l67 I want. Money is kind of tight right now. The problem isnt that bad just irratating. If I do decide to replace the pcs I might as well upgrade the camshaft.

Those dont really go hand in hand at all, you could easily just fix the pcs and do the cam later down the road
