Painting Amber corners with VHT?

I have been wanting to get rid of the amber lense in the corners for a while but i had an idea. If you took apart the corners from what i have read the amber lense comes right out. Would it look alright to paint them with VHT Nightshades? This would make them kinda blacked out but still able to reflect light? Any ideas if this would work/look decent? Thanks
 


nightshades is RED. that is why it works with the tail lights. do not use it on the headlights or corners.
