Painted Headlights

I've been thinking about this for some time now. My original plan was to use vinyl but if it looked like crap I'd be out a lil $$$ for nothing. So I decided to use plastidip to see how it looked. If good plan was to paint them, if not just remove the plastidip. So I did one light last night but it was a bit dark to get good pics. So I snapped these with my phone this morning, I'll try to get some better ones today. So what do you guys think? Roll with it or ditch the idea? any how many people have done this, I know I've seen it somewhere before. Also thoughts on black vs silver paint for this.

That would be right if I was looking to put projectors in, but I have no desire to so that's kinda a mute point. As is slapping paint on them when I was looking a for a temp idea to see what it would look like. Maybe that part about was looked past, but as stated if I was keeping it, it would be painted . But still most likely from the outside since the lenses are beat up and would look like crap if painted from the inside.

I see. Keep in mind state laws and regulations on covering up the reflectors on the headlights, technically they are illegal if they are covered or removed.

Other than that, body color matched might not look so bad, but the black just looks cheap and tacky IMO. I have seen lights outlined like you did, and in some cases they looked alot better, but on ours I just don't like the look. Again just my opinion. Let other chime in, may give you better perspective.
