Painted Calipers Last Night PICTURE HEAVY 56K :(

Thunderturd

I troll naked
I decided to paint my calipers last night, at midnight. It was the worst idea ever because it took a lot longer than I thought. So 3 hours of sleep later I return with pictures. What you guys think?

the second pic looks like bare metal? did you sand em down first or something? or is that just how the paint looks?

Its Silver Dupli-Color paint, 17 bucks for the kit.

Cleaned them with the spray then brushed them with a wire brush. Then brushed on 2 coats. Waited for that to dry then sanded it to be kinda smooth. Brush on as many coats as needed usually 4 total coats.

Nice, im glad you used the dupli-color kit, ive seen that at local places and wanted to know how well it worked.. now i know !

now time for me to figure out my colour scheme!

I've used the kit also, its the only paint I use now.

Gotta be the brush on style...

if you prep the calipers properly, and paint it as per instructions you get a really nice smooth ceramic paint. Last a long time.

I had no problems with this paint. They give you a TON of it. The can I used doesn't even look like a used any. I could prolly do like at least 5 more cars with the same paint.

I G2'd my calipers, and Duplicolored the rotors. I figure that the rotors will be replaced before any caliper (hopefully). Now my brake system is rust free too (since the rotors were cleaned and painted)... G2 is Da Bomb!
