So im looking to make my engine bay look good, with a black/silver theme but ive hit a block. i bought some aluminum colored paint to paint some of the things like the diagonal braces and dogbones with, but now i am thinking twice. we have a really good buffing wheel in my auto tech class that we just got and i just wanted to know what everyone thinks about sandblasting and polishing them instead? would it look better? especially since want to get my s/c p&p'd soon enough as well.

im lazy and polishing takes forever, so paint. :p

x2 lol

this is paint results and im not done yet.....gonna polish the snout, repaint the fuel rails silver, silver dogbones, get a silver mandrel bent intake, and some other red accents maybe like wires

yea i guess so. still gonna have the sc ported and polished though!!! i just dont know when i can get that done because i cant have my car off the road for more than a few days and i would have to send out the s/c... its a daily driver. but the painting on all the other stuff im definitely gonna do

Hey I powdercoat on the side, I just finished up on my dog bones cross braces and motor mounts, I sand blasted all the pieces and powder coated them reflective chrome. let me know if you interested pm me I will send you some pics. I tried that route before, bringing them down to a bare metal polishing them, not worth it and they will rust quickly, even with clear coat

My car doesn't really have a color theme, its pretty much black and white. I decided to go the polished/chrome and black look under my hood. This is what I have so far... (not pictured, Optima Red Top Battery)
