Pacesetter welding

Hey guys, I'm thinking about getting the Pacesetter headers and welding them up into a 2 piece setup for my gtp. I know a few of you have done this already. How is this working out for ya? Anyone have any pics of their setup or have any good advice? Thanks for the help. Just making sure I have my bases covered before I drop $300+ :th_shakinghead1:

Yeah...well...basically it is a PITA, just a fair warning...I had it done all on the car, as long as your exhaust guy knows what he is doing since the collector and 3 Bolt Flange are very close to the floorboard...

Anywho...here is what I had done. With the Pacesetter's installed, I had the Slip Fit Collector Welded to the Crossover and Rear Header. On the 3 Bolt Flange, I had the 3 Bolts removed, Cut the top one down until it was flat (also a great mod for when you lower your car), then had it welded shut. With this done, your Pacesetter's will be a 2 Piece System...

1 being the Front Header, and the 2nd being the Crossover, Rear Header, Collector Slip Fit Section, and 3" Downpipe.

Pics...I also used the living GOD out of RTV on the Front Header/Crossover section...just don't want to have to go back and do it again ya know? Went to the hardware store and got longer bolts and lock washers too...

Collector Welded and you can see towards the bottom where the 3 Bolt Flange was Grinded down and welded shut.

I'd get some more pics but...it is all installed now :p

Wow, that is dead on, excatly the info I was looking for! Thanks man, this doesn't seem nearly as bad as I thought, now I just gotta get paid huh?

How big of a pain was that to install? I have been battling leaks with my pacesetters and im thinking about doing the same.

Just rock the engine and presto? I think the back would be the pain.
