• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

pace setters

Your going to want (2) of the 2 1/2" clamps and you would need a 3" clamp if you want to clamp into your 3" exhuast, or you will have to use the reducer and another clamp/weld into the stock exhuast. Also a 3" 3 bolt gasket to replace the paper one that comes with it. When installing the band clamps on the y-pipe, make sure the crossover pipe is not resting on the transmission, tighten the crossover pipe to the front header and its a good idea to use some longer bolts on the crossover to front header, the ones that come with the kit are not that long and almost pull through when you tighten. Re-use stock manifold gaskets after inspecting them, they should be good, either that or get new stock ones.

When tightening/placing the band clamps on the y-pipe, make sure you when you tighten them that the bolts wont hit the firewall, I had them positioned so I could tighten them easier, but ended up having to shorten a couple bolts. I also tack welded the nuts on the clamps so I didn't need 2 wrenches under there. Tighten the **** out of them and use alot of rtv or your going to have to revisit them in a while. I think I was under there with a 2ft. pipe on the end of the wrench just tightening away...

When you install the pacesetters your car will run leaner. Your going to have kr, especially if your on 91 octane, but a little bit of tuning should fix that. The more mods you put on, the more it alters your cars ability to adjust for these modifications and ultimately can really mess it up, as long as your monitoring the kr as well as the a/f ratios you are aware of just how far you can push your car. I got 9*kr after installing headers on a 3.4 and 91 octane.

well i run 93 octane....and was that kr with just those two mods? no pcm or colder plugs?

damn sounds like its tune time for you i wont knock on a stock pulley will i?

Its possible. Knock just pulls timing from the engine when detected, a little isn't all that bad but once you have a lot it pulls too much timing from the engine and you don't make power, you lose it and it can be harmful to the engine. It gets worse when your making a lot more power than stock and have knock, sometimes the slightest knock at that level will chip a piston.
