p0443 and p0102

As many of you know, I just topswapped a L26 into my 2002 GTP.

It cranks, however I am getting the indications of a vac leak. Boost gauge is jumping between 18-14 while it surges on idle.

The codes I get :
P0102 - MAF Code
P0445 - Evap Code

I found this thread about someone who had a similar issue. http://www.grandprixforums.net/p0443-p0102-after-spark-plug-change-35815.html

However, I checked all fuses under the hood and all appears to be good. Maf was not removed, nor was TB and worked fine when removed.

So, correct me if I am wrong...the following things that could be allowing unmetered air ar as follows:

LIM Gasket
SC Gasket
TB Gasket
VAC Lines
Evap crap

I sprayed carb cleaner on my lines, and around the sc looking for an idle change, but couldnt find one. It's hard to listen for one when the car is surging.

For sh1t's and giggles I unplugged the MAF while it was surging...no change.

My plan at this point is to replace all the vac lines on top... since that will be the cheapest at this point... any ideas?

Should I delete the evap system for troubleshooting?

evap wouldnt cause a surge or lean condition I wouldnt think

Id just check all vac lines and make sure your egr block mods are still solid
Ill ask at school tomorrow my smog instructor is a whiz with diag on codes

Id check in this order. Maf Hz is going up as engine RPM increases and is somewhat uniform.
Idle air counts are between 50 and 40 at a steady idle. If your surging that will not be possible.
If theLfts are reading 16.4 or -22?

Ok so I scanned it and it's like my MAF is dead.... not getting any HZ out of it.

Fuse #21 ... 15amp is blowing ...so it sounds to me like a wire is pinched or broken. I have no clue where to start...and i really don't want undo and rewrap the entire wiring harness.

Any tips?

Due to time constraints. ( being without my DD for 3 weeks...)I'm taking it to an electrical dude near my work. I could trace it down...but saying to hell with it now...lol

Ok, wire was pinched.... so that has been corrected. No more codes so far. I still haven't gone into boost yet. I am going to scan it on the way home today.
